Greetings! We hope that 2017 is off to a great start for each and every one of you. We’ve been back in Colombia for just over 4 months and have some exciting things we’d like to share with you. After returning, we quickly found a house in the city of Armenia. September was spent traveling back and forth to our capital city, Bogotá, in order to prepare for hosting a summit for university ministry in Latin America.
At the end of September leaders representing 14 countries attended the summit. Afterwards many graciously participated in a weekend of training for university ministry in Bogotá.
Over the last 4 1/2 years we’ve been working to develop university ministry in Colombia. Along the way we began to pray about the possibility of a nationwide ministry that could partner with local churches to reach campuses throughout Colombia. At the end of November, after many meetings with national leaders, we received the official request to direct a national university ministry for the Assemblies of God of Colombia.
The vision for this ministry (Red Universitaria Colombia) is that every church mobilize every student in order to reach every university campus in Colombia. This is a long-term goal, but one that we are excited to take steps towards. This year we will not only be working in our city, but also planting the ministry in more cities.
Last, but certainly not least, in May we will welcome a new addition to our family. Some of you have heard the incredible testimony and long odds we faced in expanding our family. We thank God for this opportunity and look forward to sharing more with you soon.
As always, we are grateful for your prayers and support. Without you our lives and ministry in Colombia would not be possible. Over the coming months would you pray with us that God would bring along the right leaders throughout the country for university ministry and that Caitlyn and our baby would continue to enjoy perfect health.
